Cahoot Guide: Cheaper, Faster Order Fulfilment for Online Sellers

For online sellers, fulfilment is one of the biggest costs after the product itself. Cahoot takes a different approach from a single central warehouse: it runs a peer-to-peer fulfilment network that connects merchants with warehouse partners who have spare capacity.

This guide explains how that model works and the questions to ask before you switch.

How Cahoot works

Instead of shipping all your stock to one warehouse, inventory can be placed across a network of fulfilment locations. Orders are then picked and shipped from a location closer to the customer, which can shorten delivery times and reduce shipping costs. Cahoot also offers shipping software and returns handling across sales channels.

Who it suits

• Brands selling on several channels such as Amazon, Walmart, Shopify and eBay.
• Sellers looking for an alternative or complement to Amazon FBA.
• Merchants who want faster delivery without opening their own warehouses.
• Warehouse operators who want to earn from unused space.

Questions to ask before switching

Map out your current cost per order — storage, pick-and-pack, shipping and returns — so you can compare like for like. Ask how inventory is split across locations, what reporting you get, how returns are processed, and how the service integrates with your existing store and marketplace accounts.

Getting started

Book a demo, share a realistic sample of your order volume and product sizes, and ask for a cost comparison against your current setup. Starting with a subset of SKUs is a low-risk way to test delivery speed and accuracy before moving everything.
