Feel Good Contacts UK: How to Buy Contact Lenses Online Safely

Feel Good Contacts is an online retailer of contact lenses, glasses, sunglasses and eye care products, serving UK customers. Buying lenses online can be cheaper and far more convenient than repeat visits to a store — as long as you do it safely.

Have a valid prescription

Contact lenses need a contact lens prescription, which is different from a glasses prescription. It includes details such as the base curve and diameter, plus the brand fitted by your optician. Keep it up to date with regular check-ups, and only order the lenses your optician has fitted.

Daily, two-weekly or monthly?

• Daily disposables — a fresh pair every day, no cleaning solution needed, great for hygiene and occasional wear.
• Two-weekly and monthly lenses — usually lower cost per day, but need daily cleaning and proper storage.
• Toric and multifocal lenses — for astigmatism and presbyopia; these must match your prescription exactly.

Save on reorders

Larger packs usually work out cheaper per lens, and subscription or reminder options can help you avoid running out. Compare the price per day rather than the price per box when choosing between pack sizes.

Eye care basics

Never sleep in lenses unless your optician says they are suitable, wash and dry your hands before handling them, and stop wearing lenses and seek advice if your eyes become red, painful or sensitive to light.
